“People speak sometimes about the “bestial” cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts, no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel.”—Fyodor Dostoevsky (via kittydoom)
If you're bored: If 5 of you're friends were animals, what animals would they be? And what animal are you?
Eeee someone loves me enough to send me asks! Hmmm well Ben would be a raccoon, that’s for sure. Justine a cat, Melissa would be a giraffe! Zach would be a dog, specifically a puppy, and I feel like Jordan would be like a howler monkey or something. As for myself… I think I would be a deer.
This morning the waves were quiet ripples that caressed the shore, now they foam and snarl, crashing into the night washed beach. We’re seated on lounge chairs, hidden beneath grass thatched umbrellas. Bottles of wine and cans of hard cider litter the still sun warm sand at our feet, though the evening brought chills and sweatshirts. Look, someone says, gestures to the ocean. Poseidon must be angry. We all agree, staring as the water swells and rages against land. I sip my wine, black in the faint streetlamp light. Strong and dry, it slides down my throat, warming me to my fingertips. I’m going to jump into it, I say. Shed my hoodie, leave on shorts and a top. Race to the waves, dancing across rocks sharp on the soft arches of my feet. Teasingly, the water recedes as I approach, only to rush back, breaking against my calves, flooding the beach once more. The waves drag sand back out to sea, pebbles skittering across my toes with a sound like rain on dry earth. I wade into the ocean’s inky depths, boat lights flickering across wave tops, trusting my feet to guide me through the unknown. I’m up to my thighs now, salt in the air, heavy on my tongue. A wave, white foam already spilling from its crest, barrels towards shore, towards me. Feet apart, I brace myself as the water slams into my chest, bubbles swirling around my legs. It leaves as quickly as it came, icy tide taking my breath with it.
I want a horror game with a mic set that relies on you being quiet when there is a monster or something, because the sound you make, not your character, but you lures it and gives away your position so if you scream or breath heavily it can give you away so you play most of the game in mute terror
